Les Savy Fav's Tim Harrington is one of the most entertaining, charismatic madman lead singers in the modern rock world. I've seen him leap into crazed worshipping crowds, invite entire pits of dancing fans onto stage, strip down until the only thing he was wearing was a towel, slice up pineapples and hand them out while wearing a neck brace for purely aesthetic reasons, jump onto bars and hang from rafters... the dude is crazy, but enormously amusing and interactive. To back up his antics, Les Savy Fav write danceable, sing-along (if you dare) anthems for contemporary 20-somethings. Both the lyrics and music have substance and feeling, and, paired with the fearless frontman, it's an unbeatable combination that nears rock messiah euphoria. Unfortunately, these days, Les Savy Fav rarely perform live, so this show is guaranteed to be a not-to-be-missed shitshow (to use a Jay Good Times term). Opening are comedian
Fred Armisen, Kill Rock Stars'
Thunderbirds Are Now! and new French Kiss Records signing
Rahim.
