A sad reality for people like me that can’t get enough of watching rock bands live is that unfortunately at some point a band is going to have stop touring, only to lock themselves in a room to write songs and make a record. Well this is what
The Thermals have been up to for the past year or so and gosh darn it, I’m man enough to admit it, I miss them! But finally, after recording
The Body, the Blood, the Machine, their latest LP due out in August on Sub Pop, and picking up a new drummer, The Thermals are back on the road. Whoo Hoo!! No other band can serve up a blend of energy driven rock and punk noise like The Thermals. Singer/guitarist Hutch Harris’s snotty vocals and intelligent lyrics can be heard screaming over blaring guitar and drums as The Thermals tare through their songs at a blistering pace during their live sets. So for those going to Doug Fir on Friday, you best be ready to “bring it”, because you can be certain that The Thermals will.
