Our photo editor Rick got ticketed recently for drinking an open container of alcohol on the streets of the LES. He was tricked by a bodega owner who handed him his beer in a paper bag with a straw inside. The result: a $25 fine, but zero loss of dignity. Until I posted this rainbow photo just now.

One of our writers, who shall remain nameless, left his empty pint of Jim Beam under our table the other night when he left.
A classy move, indeed. It seems to say, "Hey look, I smuggled liquor into your bar and drank it. Bwahahahaha."
Later, the bar back came by and gave us a dirty look as he scooped it up off the floor. Good times.
an undercover cop attempted to drug-bust that same writer last night for rolling a cigarette. bad to the bone.
someone should arrest rick for playing with rainbows.
