Some weekend things y'all should be more than aware of starting with a couple post Siren events. The first involves Cap't Dan and the band Explorer who scored an opening gig for Murder Mystery at Northsix. Check them out if dig on some neu psych stylings. These guys are really good at smoking pot and melting face. Also on the bill is Mark's band Sono Oto who recently recorded the new Apple EP which he was kind enough to pass my way last night. I'm psyched to give it a spin over the weekend. It is a themed record, and I feel like it's going to be a perfect summer jam. Take a listen to "Granny Smith" and take a time warp back to the later days of the Beatles career. It's an easy comparison, but wow is this fantastic pop! Here are the details for the gig:
