Why am I the only one to hear about this?
Bruce Springsteen is playing 4 rehearsal shows with a 17 piece band before his new Pete Seeger album comes out and he tours nationally. The shows begin thursday the 20th at the Asbury Park Convention Hall, a venue that seats only 3600 people. Tickets are still available and are going for $60-100.
Holy shit! Springsteen with a 17-piece band playing blues, folk, and gospel songs. With tickets available. If someone knows about a catch to all this, please fill me in. You can get tix here.

Give me some more info about proven talented people like Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah or Tapes N Tapes, they are so much more talented than Springsteen. I am puking bile.
You are the people that make me hate to be in some of the crowds at the Merc and Bowery.
If he changed his name to The Springsteen, or Wolf Springsteen and played a secret show at the Mercury Lounge and then 2 nights at bowery doing the same thing I would be WILD for these shows.
As it stands, there is no buzz for this Springsteen guy. At this point I am just not intested. Unless Pitchfork tells me I am. Or Brooklyn Vegan.

wow. how is there so much springsteen hate? i would love to go to these, kind of wish i didn't know about them, it hurts my heart right in the tiny place that holds all of jersey.
