The Plug: Sneaux Shoes

Awhile back a friend of mine asked me for my shoe size. She didn't really know what the project entailed, but she said I could probably score a free pair of sneakers out of it. Now, I'm always reluctant to purchase a pair of kicks that aren't Converse Chuck Taylors, but free is free so I gave up my stats. Until yesterday I'd nearly forgotten about the strange request when I received an email about a contact who was ready and willing to run a pair of kicks down to my office. To my surprise the shoes (pictured here) are pretty kick ass. I'm a big fan of skate shoes, but its been ages since my last purchase, (and my last time on a deck). The brand in question is Sneaux Shoes which is a new company backed by the infamous Stevo, (see the crazy bastards spots here). Being the typical skeptic, I threw the Sneaux on before a shift at the Bowery, and though they need some breaking in, they were super comfortable. There is some extra padding by the balls of your feet, and if they claim to be as tough as Stevo makes them out to be, then this company should do well in the skate industry.

Are you soon going to stop reviewing music and just concentrate on shoe reviews instead? -One Eyed Bandit
