East Coast, Fuck You!

So right now I'm sitting in my office, and I can hear the Save CBGB's event in Washington Square Park. It would be great if I knew the lineup because I've got more work later tonight, but its probably better off. I should spend my between shift hours doing more work. Work Work Work. Hopefully I'll sneak onto the Bouncing Souls boat cruise. If you don't have work this evening and you live in Los Angeles, here is an event for you. The Blood Arm and Innaway rock some house, and its all ages so you can go score yourself a young one who needs a ride home.

Also, I was able to sneak into the King of France at Mercury Lounge for the last few songs of their set including "The Beast". They've added some fancy bass thingy that Matt plays in addition to the keys. They sounded better at Southpaw, but the new edition is certainly welcome. Then Alec CYHSY and the Pelican Brief (did you know Beach wrote this book) played a set of alt-country jams, (began sounding like Dylan meets Neil - ended sounding like Alec CYHSY meets Willie Nelson). I can't do it much justice so check out what Brooklyn Vegan and Yeti Don't Boogie had to say.
