So you might want to punch me in the face for the mild rumorville I started with The Killers and White Stripes hubbub posted yesterday. Let’s push that aside and concentrate on something very awesome set to happen this Friday night, (April 15). A little birdie just informed me that Beck will perform at the Hiro Ballroom at The Maritime Hotel on Friday night. Now this isn’t by any means confirmed, but my source is definitely solid. Since Beck is slated to perform on SNL on Saturday evening this doesn’t seem like such a stretch. We are also comforted by the fact that the last time he played SNL, Beck managed to sneak across the river for a surprise performance at Maxwell’s. No ticket / list information has been passed to me, but I’d put money down on this party happening.Tell your Mom. Tell your friends. But don't tell Beck you heard it from me. It only figures that an event of this proportion would happen on the one weekend a year that I'm planning to leave the city. Maybe plans just changed.
UPDATE: Thanks to a rogue poster in the comment section, we know tickets are on sale today at 5pm through ticketweb. Thanks to ProductshopNYC we know the tickets are $25 and the password is girls.

since this is true, does this mean that the white stripes really are playing on monday?

winston... my friend said the killers presale sold out instantly. so unless you were reloading the webpage at 59 minutes and 59 secs, you'd have little luck.
