Monday morning I received an email from Whitney regarding a call to hard drugs. This didn’t make sense to me because it would conflict with the new romantic movement. I opened the email and it simply read, “We should do some hard drugs. Hunter S. Thompson shot himself.” I jumped to Yahoo News to confirm the suicide of the greatest American counter culture journalist ever. The news was a severe blow especially since I’ve lost someone very, very close to me in the same manner. What would drive you to turn a gun on yourself? What was troubling him?
