By the end of today President Bush will give his 2nd annual inauguration speech. He is scheduled to be sworn in around 12pm this afternoon. This reminds me of the 2000 inauguration during which we took to the streets of our nation’s capital to protest the swearing in of George W. Bush. We pushed and scrambled to gain a sightline of the action, but the protestors where systematically corralled. Since we weren’t anywhere near the true dissonance, we opted for Subway sandwiches and a hilarious incident that lead to Dan clogging the toilet before a police officer could use it. There were also instances of Whitney telling little kids that he liked to eat children. One of the best moments that was caught on tap involved me protesting by pulling the trigger. Actually, I got sick from my 6inch tuna sub and had to get rid of it. While I’m standing in front of some government facility shoving my fingers down my throat to induce vomiting, Lee ran up and punched me in the stomach. This aided in my mission, and gave me the leverage to chase him down only to wipe my fingers on his jacket. The reason I’m bringing this up the large amount of “Fuck Bush” chants, that emanated from our group, amidst a sea of unhappy protesters, couldn’t be more appropriate on a day like this. Join me in a collective sigh and mutter “Fuck Bush” to yourself. It kills the sting better than a nice stiff glass of whiskey.
