Vacation days are a beautiful thing. Here I am sitting in the green chair thinking about the most mundane aspects of life. For instance, why aren’t there more police officers in public restrooms? Ok, they don’t need to be uniformed officers, but there could be more bathroom attendants. For what you may ask? Well, they could hand out tickets to the people who use the handicapped stales when the non-equipped stales aren’t occupied. What am I talking about? Ok, forget what I just wrote.
Yesterday my co-workers and I ordered Wok and Roll for lunch. I was already feeling shitty, but I wrote it off on the previous evenings festivities. After lunch I started to get some chills and decided to hit the couch in my bosses office for a nap. Upon waking up, I ran to the bathroom and lost my lunch. My day promptly ended following this incident. Matt and Tumbleweed came over in the early evening to hang out before the show.
Around 9:30pm Matt, Builder and I headed to the Delancey to catch These Bones set. I was still feeling like ass, so my night wasn’t going to last long. There were a lot of heads in the room for the Bones rock, but the turn out could still improve. I’m looking at all of you who didn’t get out for the show. Come support some local music, you’ll sleep better at night. Anyway, the set was solid, but the stage banter was a bit off last night. Things seemed a little awkward, but that could have been the illness I’m fighting. These Bones plowed through the hits. I like some of the intro’s Josh has been playing on a drum machine (or whatever he is using). Mike’s base sounded extra tasty last night. He was laying down the fuzz. Kyle and Sean were pulling some stage antics in the form of amp climbing and at one point Kyle was playing his guitar with one of the ceiling pipes. It was rock goodness.
Unfortunately I felt like shit the whole night so I bolted without seeing The Blue Van. I’m sure they were fantastic, but again, I can’t sacrifice the whole weekend for Thursday night.
Don’t forget: Big Ass Rooftop Keg BBQ! @ Jeff & Simon’s Apt (540 Henry St, Bklyn) on Saturday, August 7th (3pm till Liz does her last keg stand).

Subway Directions: Take the F train to Hoyt-Schermerhorn, go upstairs and across to the opposite platform. Hop on the G to Carroll St. Exit at President Street, and walk along President to Henry. We're 540 Henry, call and we'll toss the keys down from the roof. (If you have a problem, call me). All are welcome!
Following the roof party I'll be attending the Dirty On Purpose show at Rothko. I'm excited to see these kids after their first tour through the northeast. Congrats kids! Jin, let's drink Tequila!
*** Lions and Tigers and Bears. Hide your kids, (thanks Allie)!

oh dude, two kegs won't get you anywhere. you may aswell drink ginger beer. i think to be called a "kegger", in the true frat guy sense of the word, you'll need at least 4 kegs. i mean 20-30 beers a person means it'll only take a few people to drain those things. you'd better reconsider.
oh ya. i'm scat turdly and i wrote the above. s.t.
This weekend will be in honor of Rick James...Cocaine is one helluva drug...
No, my friend, this weekend is in honor of Cocaine. And Rick James is on helluva drug.
i don't get it. rick james was a notorious crack head for years and years and when he dies they say it's from "natural causes". i mean i always knew that crack wasn't bad for you, especially when it's that good smooth shit. scat turdly
