Good Morning everyone. This is a public service announcement to any and all of you who I've pulled serious "bailen's" on this week... Let me run down the list: Dan, Jin, Nate SF, Sivan and the Basketball crew. It's been a quick week and I've took to hiding with Kyle. Since Builder has been gone, it's been great having the house to ourselves so we've taken to smoking, watching Thirteen (the channel not the movie) and being in bed by 11pm. With this "we like it slow" week behind us, I'm ready to get loose this weekend so let's turn up the heat.
*** First of all, check out the hotness that is Bloc Party. I scored this video link from Ultragrrrl, and I'm psyched to see that Good Times Roll won't be the only blog obsessed with this band. I've been singing their praises for months, but only on the basis of a couple songs. Now I'm fully converted and waiting for SOMEONE (anyone) to burn me their Ep.
*** So last night I had a crazy dream that involved an x-hookup, a wave pool, my mothers bedroom, a double barrel shotgun and a bunch of terrorists. Keeping on that note, check out how that slippery fucker we call President is hiding his past, (Thanks Mikey).
*** Yesterday, my roomate told me that his little brother had called him the previous evening freaking out after seeing Michael Moore's new film. Kyle said his lil' bro was seriously sweating a draft. Why would anyone be worried about fighting in Iraq?
*** David Bowie has gone under the knife. Let's all pray that this rock giant will be back on the road faster than I can find a new job.
*** I've said it before and I'll say it again: Chuck Klosterman is the man. At this point he's the one person I'd like to emmulate (other than Iggy Pop). In this column he tells us why rock is in trouble in 2004.
*** Why should we worry about the economy, turbulant international attitudes or even the environment? We should be more concerned with which Presidential Candidate can party harder.
*** Before the dust settles in the wake of Room is on Fire (I had to look the name of the record up on AllMusic, my memory sucks, and Hawkins! you still owe me a copy of this record) the Strokes are writing new material and preparing a 3rd record. They are also cashing in on this summer's NYC festivals. Here is your chance to see them with Lenny Kravitz!
*** Jason said it was garbage. Mandel said it was a snooze. CNN seems to like Anchorman, and I'm guessing this kid is going to agree with them.
*** Weezer has hit a road bump with their new record. They claim it will be out as scheduled, but at this point they aren't moving forward. Let me say this: Take your time boys. Take your time.
*** For all you summer lovers, here is the low down on the new Thrills record straight from the horses mouth, (is that the actually saying, my memory sucks today).
*** NY Times didn't look as highly on the Black Keys performance as this blogger did of their Coachella performance. Maybe they had one killer show in them and I was lucky enough to see it.
*** Scott Weiland drinks? Nut'uh. Pete Libertine take a good look. You don't want to end up like this cock gobbler. Listen to your friend Mick Jones. He knows what he's talking about.

That's all for now. I would also like to note that Dan asked Albert Hammond Jr. if he wanted a lift in his truck yesterday, but the budding Stroke guitar hero respectfully declined.
