Upon my arrival in the office, I check my email to find promo from both Karen and Sivan regarding the Demander show on Thursday, May 27th (Beachero's birth date and the same night as The Thermals at the Mercury). They will be playing Sin-e with Runner & The Thermodynamics so get there if you can. What I didn't know was that Karen's Birthday was May 14th. Was it really? Karen, when can I take you out for tacos? I had no idea. I made no birthday call. I have no class. Either way, goto the show.
Also, this evening there is an Asobi Seksu show at the new L.E.S. club called Rothko. The show is only eight bones and is being put on by Melody Nelson and Jenyk. Other bands playing incude: The Big Sleep (who jin highly recommends) and Ariel Love Feed. Come out and show the love. Asobi Seksu is one of those bands I've been meaning to see for a good year now. I actually left a couple shows they were headlining because of previous engagements. Tonight (barring any previous engagements) I will be at Rothko.
