In honor of Beach’s 24th Birthday, I typed his name into the Google Image search and this is what showed up:

I don’t know if Beach recognizes any of these characters, but I’d like to think that this picture comes from one of his family gatherings. Either way, Happy Happy to a top notch kid.
So anyway, I’m reading this book my mother gave me titled The Fourth K that was written by Mario Puzo. Since I returned home two Christmas’s ago and stole her copy of The Godfather, which was written by the same author, my mom has been slipping me books like its her job. Most of these novels fall into one of two categories: 1. written by Mario Puzo 2. pertain to the subject of organized crime.
Ok, so anyway, the story I’m wrapped up in is hitting a little too close to home. The novel is about a fictitious president who has to deal with a group of radical revolutionaries who assassinate the Pope and kidnap the daughter of the Commander and Chief all on the same Easter Sunday. Nearly 24 hours after these synchronized events, the White House receives a fax from the New York Times that warns them against a nuclear bomb that has been placed somewhere in the New York Metropolitan area. Yeah, this is the book I’m reading while all the new terror warnings are flashing across the news. It’s not really helping my state of mind, but at this point, we are forced to confront it. Wait, fuck confronting it. That’s not my style. I’m going to suppress all feelings related to this global uncertainty and forge ahead with two bitching rock shows taking place in a Lower East Side near you. Tonight you have a choice between your rock and your roll.
1. The Thermals, The Hold Steady, The Panthers and Blood on the Wall @ Mercury Lounge
2. Demander, Runner & the Thermodynamics and The Capitol Years @ Sin-e
Both of these shows will be choice so get off you couch and expel the demons that come along with an easy work week. Start this weekend a bit earlier because you have an extra day of recovery.
Last night was spent taking care of a top secret mission that will all come to head this weekend. The actors and the details of the mission must remain under wraps, but as soon as shit hits the fan, I will be sure to post pictures. Keep checking back for something beautiful.
After the mission was completed, Dan, Lou, Kyle and I took to some chilling at 186. It’s been a pretty relaxing beginning of the week. Though I’m totally ready to be immersed back into the pool of rock, I’m not missing the late nights and tequila hangovers… even if it is only for a few days. The fall from grace begins this evening around 7pm. How will you usher in the weekend?
