I Intend To Be Independently Blue.
If you haven't seen Monsters, Inc than take some time out of your day, head to Blockbuster and pick up the solid Disney flick. Why am I such a puff? Well, I'm not. Just see the movie, you'll know what I'm saying. When Liz Costa and I saw it opening night back in 2001 we were smitten with delight. Last night I finished my second round of the animation gem and couldn't have been more pleased. Ok, you're right. I am a puff, but rent it anyway and find a friend to cuddle up with. From what I read its better that way.
So my evening was quite bland. After a couple hours of writing I had to help Lowel move a bunch of stuff for my crippled roommate. Now my back hurts. Maybe I'll break my ankle so my roommate has to do everything for me. Just kidding Kyle. It's my pleasure.
Billy Corgan Sucks.
Tonight, Tonight. It's only 9:09am and I'm already thinking about this evenings plans. Unfortunately I won't be able to see the O.C. live, but rest assured it will be taped. This may come as a dissappointment to some of you due to the cancelation of the O.C. PotLuck. Tonight the rock is calling my name in the form of a trip to Irving Plaza to see The Killers and maybe even Ambulance Ltd and Stellastarr*. My original plan was to watch the O.C. and then shoot over to the Mercury to catch the Sleepy Jackson set, but Sivan has detered me from those plans and pointed me in the Las Vegas direction. Is anyone else planning to attend the show this evening?
Weak Post. Strong News.
The Darkness start a media war over their exclusion from the Glastonbury Festival. I don't see Justin Hawkins apologizing any time soon, especially after Michael Eavis called for it publically.
Filter reveiws the Aussie Invasion Tour that threw down at Irving Plaza on St. Patty's day. This show was so damn predictable and this dude just proved it. Thank god Tom kept his cred by not mentioning anymore Jet songs. Whew! that was close.
It's official. Morrissey will play the Appollo Theater on May 3,4,6,7 & 8. Get your tickets Friday, and don't forget to buy an extra for this poor kid.
Lollapalooza seems to be making a come back with the inclusion of Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips and The String Cheese Incident? What the fuck. Why would they put the String Cheese Incident on the bill? I guess its a good chance to attract hippie money while giving those who aren't douche's the chance to goto the beer tent.
John Kerry greases the palms of the Hollywood elite. Of course they are going to support Kerry, who else is there?
Who knew the Dell Dude was in the Secret Machines? Ben Curtis and the rest of the gang get a feature on Filter.
Ok, I just got the worst project ever at work. Now I'm done. Fuck everything.
Today's Ipod mix included: Minor Threat, Salad Days; Warlocks, The Dope Feels Good; The Kinks, Set Me Free; Weezer, Fall Together; Nina Simone, Love Me or Leave Me; Elvis, Way Down; Rolling Stones, My Obsession; Walkmen, No Christmas While I'm Talking; The Strokes, Modern Girls and Old Fashion Men.
