Give Me Your Sound Track.
As Julian Casablancas once said, "You talk way to much", so I want you to do the talking for me. A lot of blogs are doing mix tapes these days, and I'd be lying if I claimed those damn things aren't on my mind twentyfourseven. This could be blamed on the ease of their creation thanks to iTunes, but either way they have been consuming me, and it seems like my tapes always have similar tracks on them. In an effort to broaden my horizons, I'd like to hear from all of you. What I'm asking for is your opinion. Give me the 10 tracks you'd put on a mix tape if you made it right now. Email me your lists. I hope to make a Good Times greatest hits so your choices will be used. The best part is, if I haven't heard the songs, I'll be downloading like a maniac and subjecting myself to your tastes.
Also, I'm in the process of purchasing an URL for the site. Do you guys like www.thegoodtimesroll.com? I don't know how I feel about the "the" in the link, but I'm warming up to it. Any thoughts are welcome.
Just Can't Get Enough.
If you are planning to brave the snow, then come on down to the Mercury Lounge where Razorlight and Athlete are hitting on the earlier side of things. Check out what one writer has to say about them in this weeks Flavorpill. Answer the question and win a pair of tickets! I'll see you there.
You can also check out what I have to say about tomorrow's Group Sounds, The Veils and The Head Set show at the Mercury. If you have a good St. Patty's day story, you can win a pair of tickets to this gig as well.
