Tuesday's Gymnastics.

So work has been busy. Life has been busier. So last night I crapped out. It was a stay close to home and watch a film kind of evening. ¿Tú que harías por amor? (Just Run) was the final film in my 3 pack that was rented from Blockbuster. It wasn't very entertaining, but the lead, Fele Martinez, looked like the Spanish version of Dennis Callo of the Realistics. It was a bit uncanny, and thus I had to continue watching. Dennis, go check that movie out to make sure you don't have a long lost brother.

Another somewhat strange thing happened last night. I was preping for the O.C. PotLuck (my burgers will taste like Jesus, but not in a sacrilegious way), when a soft knock came from the door. It was a Korean woman named Shumi. She was visiting her sister who is my next door neighbor. She had gotten locked out while smoking in the stairwell, and now she had no where to go. I invited her in and we eventually got ahold of her father in Korean so she could get the number of her sisters roomate. Her sister, Inko, and her roomate Gene, showed up, but they didn't have a key so the four of us hung out and got to know each other. It was nice to meet some neighbors who were really sweet. They even came back to give us a bunch of Udon noodles for being so kind. It was my feel good moment of the day.

FREE Pizza, Today!

A little Asian boy whom you know as Hawkins asked me to pass this info along:

WENDSDAY JANUARY 21, 2004

A Thousand free slices of pizza for opening day of Bleekcker Street Pizza. Move over John's Pizza and Joe's Pizza - there is a new slice on Bleecker Street, promising to give the West Village the best slice in NYC.

And you can be their guest for free On Wednesday January 21, 2004 for the grand opening of Blecker Street Pizza at (69 Blecker Street 212-924-4466). Owner and pizza connoisseur Kenny will be introducing the West Village to his Grandmother Nonna Maria's authentic Tuscan Style thin crust pizza by giving away a 1,000 free slices on opening day from noon to closing. Don't miss the opportunity to sample the best new pizza in the city for free.

The only thing better than pizza is free pizza, (or making out).

O.C. PotLuck Update.

Hey Hey Kids... Tonight is the second installment of the O.C. PotLuck dinner, and its gonna be a good one. I picked up all my materials at Key Foods last night. I want to take a second to mention that Key Foods is like a hipster heaven. And though I don't use the term lightly, but that store houses a unique mix of L.E.S. families and kids who just might be too cool for skool. I'd like to take an exit pool on how each feels about the other. Its kind of like a hipster Disney World without Space Mountain, or Mickey, or anything resembling Disney. I'm retarded.

Ok, so no one really got back to me, except Karen and even she had a Dj gig last night. What's your excuse? Here goes muffins:

Sivan: Potato Pancakes
Jay: Burgers w/ sauteed onions & swiss (I got some garden burgers for Builder)
Karen: Booze, Chips & Guac
Mike: (needs a pinch, he got sent to PR to hang with Chi Chi) (Hawkins will pinch hit and bring Cannoli's)
Josh: (might be in the studio)
Noah: (ditto on the studio)
Will: (is he still going to be in Prague?)
Lance: ???
Builder: ???
Amy: (Megan will pinch hit and bring the Vino)

So get off your asses and email, or its gonna be me and the girls which I can handle, but I want to share the love.

Wednesday's Big News.

MMJ lose two members of their band. Their web site has an official letter posted. Don't fret kids, we will still get to see them live in Lancaster. Have I mentioned that we are going to Lancaster on the 30th to see this band. There are still some spots left in the car so get them while they are hot.

My favorite band has some goodies coming out. And they are getting set to hit the studio with Rick Rubin. Be still my heart.

TV On the Radio get set to shoot down the East Coast and then visit the MidWest. If you are in any of these cities check these guys out, you won't be dissappointed.

Phantom Planet sits down with CMJ to discuss the development of their new sound and their new video for Big Brat.

The Shins take over the top spot in charts. Good for them, these guys will be huge.

Back to work for me.
