Success. Full Success.

The First O.C. PotLuck is in the books and it couldn't have gone any better. It was a complete success. I'll give you a bit of a recap.

Noah (naturally) was the first to show up. We sat around listening to the new Franz Ferdinand single, Take Me Out and drinking PBR. I began to prepare the Ziti when Lance showed up with another 12rack of the Red, White and Blue. Sivan cruised in after her pilates class with her 3 bean salad in tow. Then the crowds began to show up. Michael and I hung out in the kitchen listening to Queen while he prepared his fried chicken cutlets while I finished off the veggie Ziti.

Matt G brought bread.
Sean brought Bud Light.
Builder brought wine.
Amy made some cupcakes.
Karen brought a hummus appetizer.

I think that about covers everyone. Needless to say, the spread was fantastic and everyone got their fill. The end of dinner perfectly coincided with the start of the O.C. The show was great last night. Here is Fox's recap of The Links. It was hilarious watching everyone's reaction as their characters did stupid shit and acted rediculous.

We hung out for awhile after the show. Amy gets mad props for doing the dishes. Noah also came in and took care of the big boys. It was a stellar evening, and it will be had every week. So email me your dish options. Is this gay? I don't care. If you want in... you gotta let me know.

Thursday's News.

If you missed the boat on the Shins concert this Friday at the Bowery, I'm sorry to say that it is now soldout. Did anyone catch the acoustic songs they played at Rififi last night? I was O.C. inundated.

If you can get a copy of this for me, I'll unhinge my jaw for you. Seriously though, this might be Dan's cream dream.

Thank Christ that Broken Social Scene is recording again. Their first record blew me away, and my short attention span longs for this Ep.

NY Daily gives a decent review to the Thrills show at the Bowery. I heard it sucked. You be the judge.

More Cochella low down at Billboard. The Thirlls. Radiohead. Pixies. Have I asked for a ticket yet?

Attention writers: Gawker has posted a position on their site. Check it out.

Filter catches up with the rest of the NYC blogs and reviews the YYY's show at Hammerstein which was last Friday.

I don't know the Hope of States, but it is always a shame when someone in the rock world takes an early exit.

Junkmedia catches up with brains behind the premier electronic label Warp. I think this is a life I wouldn't mind leading.

Is it just me, or are there a ton of good records on the way? Dub Narcotic decides they want to finally drop one on us after 5 years without their unique mash up being waxed. Pitchfork also gives us a teaser from the upcoming TVoR Lp.

Fat Mike really hates Bush. Rolling Stones gives it the old High School try.

I read about these guys in the last Face and they now have band of the week in RockFeedBack. Get ready to join the Bloc Party.

Britian finally catches up with the U.S. Jack Black is the man, and if you missed this flick, go rent it as soon as its available.

Ok, thats it, it was worth the wait wasn't it?
