Complete Mental Lapse...

I'm ashamed of myself. I got blinded by the light. Last night, after a solid session of code writing in the Flavorpill Offices, Megan and I headed to Welcome to the Johnson's to have a quick drink. It was packed so we headed to Iggy's to indulge in the $2 beers. One became two. Two became three. Three became four. The conversation seemed to flow better than the booze. All of a sudden it was 12pm and we were both a bit tipsy. It was time for bed. Crash might be putting it mildly, but it was indeed the only task I was able to complete at that point in the evening.

This morning I walked into work, and my co-worker Lauren (who I've coverted into an O.C. fan) reminded me about last nights show. I missed it, and after checking Fox's schedule I'm realizing there isn't going to be an encore. Fuck. I'm gonna have to read about it. And I heard they went to a Rooney concert. Eh.......

Don't forget! Tonight the Darkness are playing an instore at Virgin Megastore in Times Square at 6pm. I'm gonna try to be there, let me know if you are heading up there.

Haps and Craps.

A little problem in the land of the Strokes pushes back the release of their next single. I think Julian is in love, but does he really have to go this far to get laid?

The Rapture try to one up their NYC counterparts by re-recording their upcoming single with Steve Lillywhite. Once can only hope more dance music is on the way, (sidenote: I haven't been dancing in ages, let's get down this weekend. Who's coming with me?).

Lock your children up. Michael Jackson can no longer leave the country.

Smith's fans here is some more Morrissey news about his upcoming LP. I want to care, but find it impossible.

After reading Ticket to Ride, I can't wait to see this. In more Fab-Four news, the Harrison family is set to sue a doctor who exploited George on his death bed. This doctor should be locked up.

Junkmedia catches up with the Brooklyn via West Coast imports, The Young People, to discuss the making of their second record and what we as NYC music consumers need.

Light Up the Sky breaks down the hipster trends and puts them in their places. I find it ironic that this article is even being written, but really, who has the time to give a shit. But the Fake French reminds me of Hawkins.

Free Williamsburg gives us the low-down on Bands Against Bush. Get out and support these shows and don't forget to vote so we aren't stuck with a puppet for another 4 years.

That's all for now kids. Enjoy.
