A Bunch of Talk. With a Sprinkle of Rock.

You guys fucking rock. There isn't much more I can say. This past Sunday I was on the tables at Sivan's bar, B-side, and so many people showed up for support and good times. The bar was happy, I was happy and from what I hear you all were happy. It was so great to see everyone of you, and I'm sorry if perhaps we didn't get to chat much, but next time, just come to the front, let me know what you want to hear and fill my ear with something other than Queen.

Again, thanks to all of you who came out. The next Good Times party is in the mix. Clear your calendars for the long weekend in February dedicated to the good ole boys who used to run our country. Word on the street is that more free drinks may become available. Don't hold me to it, but remember to hold that day in your planner, (do people that aren't Hawkins, really own those things?).

Second Installment of the O.C. PotLuck.

Holy Shit its almost Wednesday. With the long weekend and lack of internet on Norfolk street, I've fallen behind in the planning process. Rest assured the party will still be happening. Same time, same place. What we were thinking was more of a cookout style dinner. We are hoping this will include Margaritas, but we need some kids to step to the plate and make it happen. Here is the roster and their dishes, keep in mind there will be a lot of pinch hits this week so email ASAP with your request and come see what the kids are talking about. Oh and a new drinking rule that I will explain on your arrival. Here goes:

Sivan: Potato Pancakes
Jay: Burgers w/ sauteed onions & swiss
Karen: ???
Mike: (needs a pinch, he got sent to PR to hang with Chi Chi)
Josh: (might be in the studio)
Noah: (ditto on the studio)
Will: (is he still going to be in Prague?)
Lance: ???
Builder: ???
Amy: ???

So thats the jist. Other food ideas would include Guac & Chips, Veggie plate, Desert or anything delicious. Again, if you want in, email me as soon as you can so we can work everything out.

Did I forget the Weekend?

Ok, so I checked the blog the other day and realized that we went dancing with the Shins. How fucking cool is that. Good looks to DTL for making that whole thing happen. The show was amazing, and the night turned out to be top notch.

On Saturday I went to check out the VitAmen at Mercury and then saw Dennis Callo (of the Realistics) play a set at the Living Room. He has a strong voice and his own stuff is very mello, but needless to say, its well done. Check him out at Sin-e in the coming weeks (I'll be covering it for Flavorpill). Then I tried to wuss out by passing out, but Dan talked me into heading to a party with him, Beach and Daylen. We took a cab out to Liz and Justin's pad in the Burg where we were met by a bunch of really awesome kids. I really didn't know to many kats at this party, but it was great to see Abe and Mike from Kevin's other band. It was also nice to get in the mix with some new chaps.

Sunday was hectic. Prior to the gig I headed over to the Beach's to watch the first playoff game. It wasn't to exciting until the end, but Payton couldn't deliver. I had to jet before the Birds game because Sivan and I were meeting for dinner before heading to B-side. We caught some killer grub at the General Store and then headed to the bar for the party which was (again with the praise) made outstanding because of all you showed up. Thanks to the NYC crew, the Cali Kids, Co-workers and all the friends (old and new) who made it rock!

That set me up for a slow Monday that was spent lying in bed catching up on some new releases from Blockbuster.

But I Don't Want To Read The News.

Senator Kerry takes Iowa for Oveis. Edwards comes in a surprisingly strong second while Dean takes the bronze. Gephardt decides to call it quits after his numbers didn't satisfy.

The Cure are headlining Cochella. Did we know this already? If so... kiss my ass.

The Notwist decides to finally drop a little Ep on all of us. Domino will be putting this much anticipated record out.

For those of you who wondered whether or not the ass kicking Jack gave to Jason Von Bondie would affect his performance... Here is your answer.

Fuck Fuck Fuck. More festival details are announced spurring more profanities to spill forth from my mouth. Goddamn. Will someone at a Label, in a Band, at a Magazine or in the general Business give me a shot?

Win Beck's lucky charm. It would be funny to send the rabbit from Donnie Darko in it's place.

What is Coke doing? This will spawn a bevvie of mistaken headlines. Fucking Coke heads.

So I've got to get back to work. If I'm missing something big, let me know.
