One more try. But its gonna be short.
My apologies to all the warriors out there. Last night I decided to ditch out on all holiday activities and stay close to home. I managed to open up a Blockbuster account and got knee deep into some shitty flics. Eventually Cami came over and we had some wine with words. Then D, Kyle, Cami and I headed to a cheap Mexican joint on Houston and Clinton. The fajitas I had were absolutely amazing which leads me to believe that I have a new cheap eats fave in the hood. We went back to the APT to finish up the evening. I hope those of you who went to Lance's Party or the Startime Party had a solid time.
Check this Shit Out.
An old friend, John Watts, has finished a clay animation short titled Clay Pride. Check out this hilarious film here and vote for his work.
Check out this weeks issue of Flavorpill. My friend Liz wrote a great review of the new Unicorn's record that does it justice. I bumbled through write-ups for the Startime Party and the Joe Strummer Tribute.
Here are some pictures of Jason Von Bondies face after Jack White had the pleasure of destroying it, (from The Modern Age). The spokesperson for Jack White claims it was self defense, but good god damn it doesn't look anything like it.
The Times gives us the skimmy on Bowie's Madison Square Garden Show. Its good to hear that Mr. Glam is bringing back the good ole guitar rock.
The kids in the Onion's A.V. Club give us a run down on what they thought was the haps of the craps in the year 2003. Its nice to see such an eclectic range of music on their lists.
Pitchfork recaps 2003's biggest music news. It was a year of losses. Strummer, Smith, Cash, Palmer and let us not forget three of the boys from the Exploding Hearts. R.I.P.
This Evening...
So tonight shouldn't be as tame as last night. I'm planning to head home after my work Holiday party at the Law School. Then I'm heading to the Mercury Lounge to see what the Mobius Band is all about. Then we are gonna run back to my place to see my favorite T.V. program. By 10:15pm we should be back at the Merc to see the Natural History.
