Rolling Around on the East Side...
Last night saw a bit of Good Times come and go. It all started when my friend Trevor (from PA) met me at work and we proceeded to Bside for a couple drinks in the company of Sivan and the bartender who is in PS.
Then we met up with Mike and Josh so we could go down to the new Apt so Josh could take a look around. He seemed to dig on the place, and I'm psyched to be living with that kid (and not just because of his huge record collection). The four of us hit that half price sushi joint on 2nd Ave for some bitching grub and then parted ways.
Trevor and I rolled down to HiFi for a couple drinks and some pool. After getting nice and toasty we headed over to Bside to meet Hawkins and Kelley for a quick drink. Noah showed up and the five of us headed back to 224 for one of the final sessions.
It was a low key night of Good Times.
Some News For The Bored...
Pitchfork opens up numbers 60-21 of their Top 100 Albums of the 1990's. Take a look and disagree because you can.
Will Ferrell's new project looks like it will be hilarious. This guy is taking the ball and running with it. I like it, that's genius.
Ruby hands in her report on what it was like to sing on the Darkness' Christmas record. These kids rock so hard. Imagine being in grade school and going to Abbey Road Studios to record with those guys.
If you are gonna sing songs about drinking and cowboys, you better get ready to live the lifestyle. In our latest music industry arrest, country great Glenn Campbell gets booked for D.U.I.
For those of us with ipods, this is bad news. See what one rogue is doing about it. (must have Quicktime). If mine craps out I may need serious consoling.
God Damn Hippies. British Sea Power have to cancel a gig after their bassist sprained his wrist when he fell out of a tree.
GameHeads get excited. Spin explores the final days of your Xbox's and PS2's by giving a rundown of the top titles of this past year.
