More Good Stuff:

Mr. Smith and the rest of the Cure have decided to change our lives with the an announcement of a 71-song box set.

Local Bands NYC is claiming that Bright Eyes will play a pre-Turkey Day show at Lit. For the record, this is the third post today of a band I truly dislike, but you might dig them. Noah does.

Daily Dose of Stuff:

Two Darkness notes. In the newest issue of Q Mr. Chernin and Ms. Lane have been quoted in reference to the Darkness' live performance at the Bowery. Secondly, has anyone checked out the latest issue of the British Magazine, The Face? If you haven't get to a newstand quickly because it has some unbelieveable pictures of Justin Hawkins and the rest of the Darkness crew. Or if you live in my neighborhood, come over, get your mug on the wall, and see it there before we head to the show.

The people over at Kindercore Records who house bands such as Of Montreal, Dressy Bessy, and the Agenda have been shut down. This is a shame since the head of the company (and its brother, Telegraph) is a really nice guy. I had a chance to sit down with him during a mentor session at CMJ 2002, and believe me, he was just in it for the rock. RIP Kindercore.

I heard that Radiohead is a fairly popular band among indie kids. So I figured a link to this story would be appropriate. This in no way changes the way I feel about them.

I also have a strong distaste for Ryan Adams and I believe the first line of this review sums up why.

Yeah, and I really thought OJ Simpson was innocent as well.

Apollo Sunshine gets interviewed by the A.V. club. These are some great guys who I was lucky enough to meet about a year ago. Check them out with the Natural History in the near future.

Also, thanks to those of you who have offered to have the screening party. I will be in touch once Ms. Notop gets me the copy.
