No Time for Darkness.

My dream of seeing the Darkness twice in one week is now over. Big up's to Mama Belin for helping me get those posted on Ebay.

Sam Champion brought the Rock.

Last night I met Stevo on the corner, and we proceeded to our favorite LES bar (Bside) only to be greated by the lovely Sivan and Karen. Sivan kept the drinks cold and Karen kept the commentary colorful (I don't really know what that means, but it kind of rhymes). After a couple games of pool we headed to Kristie and Julia's pad for a delicious dinner from my favorite Pennslyvania pair (ok, its stopping now). We proceeded to get proper bevvied and then we piled in a cab that was headed for the Tribeca RC. There were a lot of great kids out at the show last night in honor of Mr. Jersey Dan and Sam Champion. We caught the Zambonies hockey fueled set (they actually came in full gear). Their songs were quirky and fun, but we were ready for Sam Champion. By this time, I was well bevvied, and not ready for what the SC was ready to throw down. The boys played all the hits with a heavy passion that is seen all to rarely. Noah really let go and decided to let his guitar do the talking. Hell, there was even a transition. Thats right, a transition. They played all the hits from the Ep (or demo if you will) along with some new tunes that were quite impressive. Make sure you check these boys out the first chance you get, cause soon enough they will be huge in Minneapolis or Portland (?) and we will only get to see them when they come on tour.

On to the news:

Say what you will about Mr. Diddy, but this is a classy move. Way to give it back to the kids P Diddy.

Does anyone have plans for New Years yet? If not, lets seriously consider hopping a flight and checking out this show. I'll bring the hookers. You bring the blow.

Joe Jackson gives us his explaination of child abuse. I agree with Joseph. Without a good whipping, Michael may have turned out strange.

Sometimes praying to God actually works. My prays have been answered.

Larry Flynt gives us one more reason to buy the new Hustler.

Pink and Tommy Lee. Yeah, she succumbed to his charm. Or she saw the tape that the rest of America saw and wants a piece of that action. God bless the Crue.

One more music note. Noah, DT (of Circle and Square), and I had this conversation just the other day. Pearl Jam gave up the fight and passed the torch to none other than... String Cheese Incident. Everyone should collectively bend over and be ready to get fucked.

Disc that got me to work this morning: Pavement, Wowee Zowee
